报告人简介：DrJan Dolfing is a Faculty Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at Newcastle
University in England, UK. He holds a PhD in Environmental Microbiology fromWageningen University
in the Netherlands. His research is focused on the thermodynamic logic behind the microbial
interactions in anaerobic ecosystems, with applications in wastewater treatment, methanogenic
bioreactors and microbial fuel cells. His another favourite topic is the use of soil archives to
delineate the history of microbial populations and genes in the environment.
